Policy to maximise water reuse across univeristy
In accordance with the “Energy Conservation Promotion Group Setting Method”, all measures approved by the meeting should be observed and implemented to achieve the goal of energy conservation and carbon reduction, and the “Key Points of Energy Conservation Management in Tzu Chi University” is hereby formulated.And point 3.2 is related to water management
(II) Water Management Measures
1. All toilets on campus use water-saving toilets and faucets.
2. All water supply equipment and public toilets should be used sparingly and turned off at all times.
If leaks are found, please notify the operation and repair team to repair the leaks.
3. Adjust the flushing time of the automatic urinal flusher to shorten it appropriately.
4. Control the flow of water valves at hand washing stations to save water.
5. Set up a rainwater recycling system so that the recycled rainwater can be used for watering and toilets.
6. All types of treated water (e.g., RO water, distilled water, etc.) are limited to official use.
7. The campus is equipped with outdoor taps for official use, which are not allowed to be used for washing private vehicles or for other purposes.
8. The hot water supply system in student dormitories is regulated by the management unit, and the graduate area is also regulated accordingly.
Measure the reuse if water across university
According to the date by General Affairs about the water conservation and reuse,
Total amount of collected water had decreased from 11%-8%;
Total amount of reclaimed water(m³) also decreased from 0.8%-0.7%
