10.6.1 Non-discriminatory admission policy

Tzu Chi University admits qualified students of any age, gender, sexual orientation, race, disability, color, religion, and national or ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the school.

It does not discriminate on the basis of age, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, race, disability, color, religion, or national or ethnic origin in administration of its educational policies, admissions policies, scholarship and loan programs, and other school administered programs.

Tzu Chi University has 15 different admission channels to provide students with diversified ways to enter the university.

特殊選才 Special Selection

In hope to admit students with special achievement or potential who may be difficult to enroll through the current admission channels, or students who are relatively disadvantaged through the current admission channels but meet the selection criteria of the admission department. We also accept students who are not school-type experimental educators (e.g., self-study), or who are gifted in a single subject, or who have excellent potential and special performance in various special fields such as literature, innovation, leadership, and social welfare role models, etc., in order to fulfill the demand for appropriate selection.

Since 2021, The Admission Committee has been established to handle matters relating to the admission of new residents in accordance with the principles of fairness, impartiality and openness, and shall be responsible for scrutinizing the rules and regulations on admission, the number of places to be admitted, the admission brochures, the resolution of admission criteria, and the handling of disputes on admission, and other matters relating to the admission process.
