Measure the amount of waste generated and recycled across the university
Implementation of Trash Reduction:
In February 2008, the University announced the “Implementation Points for the Implementation of Trash Reduction and Campus Environment Friendly” to implement the policy of waste reduction, to realize the principle of not providing disposable tableware and packaged drinking water for campus activities, and to bring their own environmentally friendly cups and plates or ask manufacturers to provide reusable tableware and to ensure the separation of waste for recycling in the campus.
Before the implementation of the policy, the amount of general garbage was 190,570 kilograms in the 95th school year, but it was reduced to 66,808 kilograms in the 2022, which is more than half of the total amount of garbage.This shows that the policy of reducing garbage is effective. The annual per capita production of general garbage can be controlled at about 13-14 kilograms.
