Policy on minimising the use of disposable items
Tzu Chi University has established the policies to minimise the use of disposable items:
1. ‘ Waste Reduction and Campus Environment Friendly Implementation Highlights‘since the Admin Meeting in 2008.
Point 2.2: Bring your own eco-friendly cups or ask the vendor/food suppliers to provide reusable plates and cutlery.
2. ‘Energy Saving Management Key Points’ since Admin Meeting in 2016.
Point 3.5.5: Implementing the「New Foodware for Heart Life」program, all staff should bring their own environmentally friendly tableware and refuse to use paper containers, drinking cups, or Styrofoam products when organizing activities on or off campus. Unless under special circumstances, no paper cups or bottled mineral water should be used when organizing activities.
